The AlBook is finally up for sale on eBay.
eBay has a new craptacular AJAX seller form. Filling out the form in Safari went well initially until it came time to submit the second long-ass page in the multipart process. The "Continue" button dimmed and nothing happened. "Live Help" was unavailable due to maintenance.
Recreating the auction in Firefox turned out to be harder than copying and pasting the content from Safari. eBay seemed to only like HTML with stripped line breaks when submitted via Firefox. The real WTF moment hit when the auction went live immediately—without any warning! It's why the AlBook went on sale prematurely.
